The population of the region as of November 1, 2023 amounted to 727,6 thousand people, including 483,7 thousand people (66,5%) - urban, 243,9 thousand people (33,5%) - rural residents.
The natural increase in the population in January-October 2023 amounted to 652 people (in the cor-responding period of the previous year - 859 people). In January-October 2023, newborns were regis-tered by 7,2% less than in January-October 2022, deaths - by 5,1%.
The balance of migration is negative and amounted to -3312 people (in January-October 2022 - -3226 people), including in external migration - a negative balance of -836 people (-1684), in internal - negative -2476 people and (-1542).
The average per capita nominal cash income of the population, according to the assessment in the II quarter of 2023, amounted to 190682 tenge. Compared to the corresponding period of 2022, the increase was 19,8% in nominal and a 3,3% increase in real cash income.
The number of unemployed in the III quarter of 2023 amounted to 18,0 thousand people. The unemployment rate was 4,6% of the labor force. The number of persons registered with employment agencies as unemployed as of November 1, 2023 amounted to 8903 people, or 2,3% of the labor force.
The average monthly nominal wages accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activities) in the III quarter of 2023 amounted to 316667 tenge, an increase compared to the III quarter of 2022 amounted to 16,9%. The real wage index in III quarter 2023 was 103,6%.
The consumer price index in November 2023 compared to December 2022 was 109,3%. Prices for food products increased by 8,3%, non-food products – by 8,8%, paid services for the population – by 11,3%.The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in November 2023 compared to December 2022 increased by 1,0%.
The volume of gross regional product for January-June 2023 amounted to 1827244,4 million tenge at current prices. Compared to the corresponding period of January-June 2022, real GRP increased by 4,9%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 49%, services – 42,4%.
The volume of industrial production in January-October 2023 amounted to 1993561,4 million tenge in current prices, which is 3,9% more than in 2022.
In the mining industry, production volumes increased by 1,5%, in the manufacturing industry - by 5,2%, in the supply of electricity, gas , steam, hot water and conditioned air there was a decrease by 6,1%, in water supply, collection, processing and waste disposal, pollution elimination activities - by 17,9%.
The volume of gross output of agricultural products (services) amounted to 434763,4 million tenge, or 96,3% compared to January-October 2022.
The volume of construction works (services) amounted to 220779,9 million tenge, or 105,1% compared to January-October 2022.
The volume of cargo turnover in January-October 2023 amounted to 6328,8 million tkm (taking into account the assessment of the volume of cargo turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), or 113,6% compared to January-October 2022 The volume of passenger traffic – 1606,4 million pkm, or 126,8% by January-October 2022.
The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-October 2023 amounted to 471401,5 million tenge, or 103,1% of January-October 2022.
The number of registered legal entities as of November 1 , 2023 amounted to 15060 units and increased by 0,4% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year , including 14704 units with less than 100 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 11523 units, including 11169 units- small businesses.The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 12324 units and increased by 0,2% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.
The volume of retail trade in January-October 2023 amounted to 888505,8 million tenge, or 4,2% more than the corresponding period in 2022.
The volume of wholesale trade in January-October 2023 amounted to 670739,9 million tenge, or 97,2% compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
According to preliminary data, in January-September 2023, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 1154,1 million US dollars and decreased by 25,3% compared to January-September 2022 , including exports – 301,1 million US dollars (by 16,3% less), imports – 853 million US dollars (28,1% less).
