The population of the region as of November 1, 2025 amounted to 788.9 thousand people, including 455.9 thousand people (57.8%) - urban, 333.0 thousand people (42.2%) - rural residents.
The natural increase in the population in January- October 2025 amounted to 1701 people (in the corresponding period of the previous year--2648 people).
The number of births as January- October 2025 amounted to 7380 people (13.3% less than in January- October 2024), the number of deaths amounted to 5679 people (3.2% less than in January- October 2024).
The balance of migration is negative and amounted to -35 people (in January- October 2024–-2452 people), including in external migration surplus balance of-58 people (831 people), in internal-positive-23 people (-3283 people).
The number of unemployed in the III quarter of 2025 amounted to 18.8 thousand people.
The unemployment rate was 4.5% of the labor force.
The number of persons registered with employment agencies as unemployed as of December1, 2025 amounted to 7691 people, or 1.8% of the labor force.
The average monthly nominal wages accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activities) in the III quarter of 2025 amounted to 366749 tenge, an increase compared to the III quarter of 2024 amounted to 11.7%.
The real wage index in III quarter 2025 was 98.9%.
In the II quarter of 2025 the average per capital nominal cash income of the population of the region, according to the estimate, amounted to 211605 tenge, which is 15.4% higher than in II quarter 2024, the monetary incomes of the population in real terms increased by the specified period is 3.1%.
The volume of industrial production in January-November 2025 amounted to 2188701.2 million tenge in current prices, which is 3.5% less than in January- November 2024.
In the mining industry, production volumes decreased by 9%, in the manufacturing industry decreasedby 2.5%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water andconditioned airthere was an decreased by 3.3%, in water supply; sanitation; waste collection, treatment and disposal, pollution elimination activities increased by 3.3%.
The volume of gross output of agricultural products (services) in January-November 2025 amounted to 1136482.4 million tenge, or 115.7% by January-November 2024.
The volume of cargo turnover in January-November 2025 amounted to 23483.5 million tkm (accounting for the amount of work performed by individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), or 98.8% compared to January-November 2024.
The volume of passenger traffic – 646.3 million pkm, or 53.2% by January-November 2024.
The volume of construction works (services) amounted to 319887.8 million tenge, or 118% by January-November 2024.
In January-November 2025 the total area of housing put into operation increasedby 0.1% and amounted to 561.4 thousand square meters, of which in multi-apartment buildings - by 1% (290.6 thousand square meters), the total area of individual residential buildings put into operation increased by 0.2% (259.1 thousand square meters).
The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-November 2025 amounted to 748937.1 million tenge, or 152.3% by January-November 2024.
The number of registered legal entities as of December 1, 2025 amounted to 15092 units and Increased by 0.1% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, including 14739 units with less than 100 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 12861 units, including 12510 units –small businesses.
The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 11830 units and Increased by 0.1% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.
The volume of gross regional product according to preliminary data for January-June 2025 amounted to 1791696.6 million tenge at current prices. Compared to the corresponding period of January-June 2024, real GRP increased by 106.0%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 50.9%, services – 45.3%.
Consumer price index November 2025 by December 2024 amounted to 112.7%, including for food products –114.1%, non-food – 112.3%, paid services to the population – 111.3%. The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in November 2025 compared to December 2024 incresed by 41.5%.
The volume of retail trade in January-November 2025 amounted to 501016.5 milliontenge, or 2.2% more than the corresponding period in 2024.
The volume of wholesale trade in January-November 2025 amounted to 1105576.9 million tenge, or 155.1% compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
According to preliminary data, in January-October 2025, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 472.2 million US dollars, including exports – 133.3 million dollars, imports – 338.9 million US dollars.
