The population of the region as of June 1, 2024 amounted to 606, 2 thousand people, including 373,0 thousand people (61,5% ) - urban, 233,2 thousand people (38,5%) - rural residents.
The natural increase in the population in January- May 2024 amounted to 1761 people (in the corresponding period of the previous year - 1911 people).
The number of births was January-May 2024 amounted to 4000 people (3% less than in January-May 2023), the number of deaths amounted to 2239 people (1,2% more than in January-May 2023).
The balance of migration is negative and amounted to - -3135 people (in January- May 2023 - -1817 people), including in external migration a negative balance of - -296 people (-72), in internal - negative - 2839 people and (-1745).
The number of unemployed in the I quarter of 2024 amounted to 14,5 thousand people.
The unemployment rate was 4,8% of the labor force.
The number of persons registered with employment agencies as unemployed as of Jule 1, 2024 amounted to 12,2 thousand people, or 3,8% of the labor force.
The average monthly nominal wages accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activities) in the I quarter of 2024 amounted to 322830 tenge, an increase compared to the I quarter of 2023 amounted to 114,2%.
The real wage index in I quarter 2024 was 104,4%.
In the I quarter of 2024 the average per capita nominal cash income of the population of the region, according to the estimate, amounted to 173569 tenge, which is 18,9% higher than in I quarter 2023, the growth rate of real cash income for the specified period is 108,7%.
The volume of industrial production in January-June 2024 amounted to 895659,9 million tenge in current prices, which is 1,9% more than in January- June 2023.
In the mining industry volume of production increased by 2,2%, in the manufacturing industry - by 0,5%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and conditioned air there was by 14,3%, in water supply, collection, processing and waste disposal, pollution elimination activities desreased by 7,5%.
The volume of gross output of agricultural products (services) in January-June 2024 amounted to 98776,5 million tenge, or 102,3% by January-June 2023.
The volume of cargo turnover in January-June 2024 amounted to 6741,3 million tkm (taking into account the assessment of the volume of cargo turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), or 89,3 % compared to January- June 2023.
The volume of passenger traffic – 511,3 million pkm, or 89,2% by January- June 2023.
The volume of construction works (services) amounted to 74852,1 million tenge, or 113,3% compared to January-June 2023.
In January-June 2024, the total area of housing put into operation increased by 7,8% and amounted to 140,2 thousand square meters, of which in multi-apartment buildings - by 137,6% (110,2 thousand square meters). At the same time, the total area of individual residential buildings put into operation decreased by 28.5% (30,0 thousand square meters).
The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-June 2024 amounted to 178753,5 million tenge, or 76% by January-June 2023.
The number of registered legal entities as of July 1, 2024 amounted to 8396 units and increased by 2,2% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, including 8119 units with less than 100 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 6804 units, including 6527 units - small businesses. The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 6288 units and increased by 1,5% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.
The volume of gross regional product for January-March 2024 amounted to 713428,8 million tenge at current prices. Compared to the corresponding period of January-March 2023, real GRP increased by 4,1%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 50,1%, services – 43,2%.
The consumer price index in June 2024 compared to December 2023 was 103,6%.
Prices for food products increased by 3,1%, non-food products–by 2.2%, paid services for the population–by 5,6%.
The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in June 2024 compared to December 2023 increased by 10,7%.
The volume of retail trade in January-June 2024 amounted to 236944,1 million tenge, or 5,2% more than the corresponding period in 2023.
The volume of wholesale trade in January-June 2024 amounted to 132198,2 million tenge, or 115,3% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
According to preliminary data, in January-May 2024, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 213767,8 thousand US dollarsand decreased by 51,9% compared to January-May 2023, including exports – 76035,9 thousand US dollars (by 70,4% less), imports – 137731,9 thousand US dollars(26,6% less).
