(81,7% ) – urban, 207,3 thousand people (18,3%) – rural residents.

The natural increase in the population in January-Jyne 2024 amounted to 2399 people (in the corresponding period of the previous year – 2951 people).

The number of births as January- Jyne 2024 amounted to 7733 people (5.7% less than in January- Jyne 2023), the number of deaths amounted to 5334 people (1.7% more than in January- Jyne 2023).

The balance of migration is negative and amounted to -2974 people (in January- Jyne 2023 – -1767 people), including in internal – -2812 people in internal migration (-1593), and – -162 people in inexternal migration (-174).

The number of unemployed in the II quarter of 2024 amounted to 23,5 thousand people.

The unemployment rate was 4,1% of the labor force.

The number of persons registered with employment agencies as unemployed as of July 1, 2024 amounted to 10997 people, or 2% of the labor force.

The average monthly nominal wages accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activities) in the II quarter of 2024 amounted to 379463 tenge, an increase compared to the II quarter of 2023 amounted to 10,6%.

The real wage index in II quarter 2024 was 101,7%.

In the I quarter of 2024 the average per capita nominal cash income of the population of the region, according to the estimate, amounted to 212647 tenge, which is 14,6% higher than in I quarter 2023, the growth rate of real cash income for the specified period is 3,1%.

The volume of industrial production in January-July 2024 amounted to 2155852,9 million tenge in current prices, which is 11,1% more than in January- July 2023.

In the mining industry, production volumes increased by 13,1%, in the manufacturing industry - by 11%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and conditioned air there was by 6,5%, in water supply, collection, processing and waste disposal, pollution elimination activities - by 5,3%.

The volume of gross output of agriculture, forestry and fisheries products (services) in January-July 2024 amounted to 135544,6 million tenge, or 101,5% by January-July 2023.

The volume of cargo turnover in January-July 2024 amounted to 22101 million tkm (аccounting for the amount of work performed by individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), or 93.4% compared to January-July 2023.

The volume of passenger traffic – 1594.9 million pkm, or 95% by January-July 2023.

The volume of construction works (services) amounted to 252291,6 million tenge, or 133,1% compared to January-Julу 2023.

In January-Julу 2024, the total area of commissioned housing increased by 21,6% and amounted to 317,3 thousand square meters, of which in multi-apartment buildings - by 35,4% (276,5 thousand square meters). At the same time, the total area of commissioned individual residential buildings decreased by 16,3% (39,5 thousand square meters).

The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-Julу 2024 amounted to 488818,6 million tenge, or 117,4% by January-Julу 2023.

The number of registered legal entities as of August 1, 2024 amounted to 28969 units and decreased by 0,1% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, including 28430 units with less than 100 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 22573 units, including 22048 units - small businesses. The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 25077 units and decreased by 0,2% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.

The volume of gross regional product for January-March 2024 amounted to 1690879,8 million tenge at current prices. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, real GRP increased by 7%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 47,3%, services – 46,1%.

The consumer price index in July 2024 compared to December 2023 was 105,3%.

Prices for food products increased by 3,2%, non-food products – by 4,9%, paid services for the population – by 8%.

The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in July 2024 compared to December 2023 increased by 4,4%.

The volume of retail trade in January-July 2024 amounted to 786075,9 million tenge, or 2,2% more than the corresponding period in 2023.

The volume of wholesale trade in January-July 2024 amounted to 1386418,8 million tenge, or 32,4% more than the corresponding period in 2023.

According to preliminary data, in January-June 2024, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 1393,5 million US dollars and decreased by 3,3% compared to January-June 2023, including exports – 819,1 million US dollars (by 5,4% less), imports – 574,4 million US dollars(0,2% less).
