The unemployment rate was 5,1% of the labor force.
The number of persons registered with employment agencies as unemployed as of October 1, 2025 amounted to 21819 people, or 5,6% of the labor force.
The average monthly nominal wages accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activities) in the II quarter of 2025 amounted to 629466 tenge, an increase compared to the II quarter of 2024 amounted to 8,6%.
The real wage index in II quarter 2025 was 98,8%.
In the I quarter of 2025 the average per capita nominal cash income of the population of the region, according to the estimate, amounted to 259812 tenge, which is 10,6% higher than in I quarter 2024, the rate of increase in real cash income for the specified period is 0,9%.
The volume of industrial production in January-September 2025 amounted to 2442241 million tenge in current prices, which is 1,9% more in January-September 2024.
In the mining industry, production volumes increased by 1,6%, in the manufacturing industry it increased - by 2%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and conditioned air there was increased by 5,6%, in water supply, collection, processing and waste disposal, pollution elimination increased by 0,2%.
The volume of gross output of agricultural products (services) in January-September 2025 amounted to 29217,4 million tenge, or 98,6% by January-September 2024.
The volume of cargo turnover in January-September 2025 amounted to 27382,5 million tkm (taking into account the assessment of the volume of cargo turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), or 128,4% compared to January-September 2024.
The volume of passenger traffic in January-September 2025 amounted to 5144,4 million pkm, or 111,3% by January-September 2024.
The volume of construction works (services) amounted to 244020,7 million tenge, or 115,9% compared to January-September 2024.
In January-September 2025, the total area of housing put into operation decreased by 54,1% and amounted to 327,9 thousand square meters, of which in multi-apartment buildings decreased by 65,7% (177,4 thousand square meters). At the same time, the total area of individual residential buildings put into operation decreased by 27,9% (142,3 thousand square meters).
The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-September 2025 amounted to 768694,4 million tenge, or 111,6% by January-September 2024.
The number of registered legal entities as of October 1, 2025 amounted to 18902 units and increased by 10,4% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, including 18525 units with less than 100 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 15959 units, including 15582 units - small businesses. The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 16659 units and decreased by 11,6% compared to the corresponding date of the including year.
The calculation of the short-term economic indicator is carried out to ensure efficiency and is based on changes in output indices for basic sectors: agriculture, industry, construction, trade, transport and communications, accounting for over 60% of GDP.
The volume of gross regional product for January-June 2025 amounted toat current prices 2469674,2 million tenge Compared to the corresponding period of 2024, real GRP increased by 11,4%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 52,2%, services 37,1%.
The consumer price index in September 2025 compared to December 2024 was 109,1%.
Prices for food products increased by 10,7%, non-food products - by 7,8%, paid services for the population - by 7,8%.
The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in September 2025 compared to December 2024 decreased by - 8,2%.
The volume of retail trade in January-September 2025 amounted to 361872,6 million tenge, or 6,5% more than the corresponding period in 2024.
The volume of wholesale trade in January-September 2025 amounted to 432306,2 million tenge, or 7,6% more than the corresponding period in 2024.
According to preliminary data, in January-August 2025, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 133,8 million US dollars and decreased by 2,6% compared to January-August 2024, including exports - 13 million US dollars (16,2% less), imports - 120,8 million US dollars (0,8% less).
