Population of the Pavlodar region as of March 1, 2026 amounted to 744,5 thousand people, including 532,4 thousand people (71,5%) – urban residents, 212,1 thousand people (28,5%) – rural residents.
Natural population growth in January-February 2026 amounted to 79 people (in the corresponding period of the previous year – 238 people). For January-February 2026 the number of births was 1210 people (9% less than in January-February 2025), the number of deaths was 1131 people (3,6% more than in January- February 2025).
The migration balance is negative and amounted to – -875 people (in January-February 2025 – -1229 people), including in external migration a positive balance of – 133 people (39), in internal migration a negative balance of – -1008 people (-1268).
The number of unemployed in the IV quarter of 2025 amounted to 20 thousand people.
The unemployment rate was 4,9% of the labor force.
The number of persons registered with employment agencies as unemployed as of April 1, 2026 amounted to 11379people, or 2.8% of the labor force.
The average monthly nominal wages accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activities) in the IV quarter of 2025 amounted to 453898 tenge, an increase compared to the IV quarter of 2024 amounted to 11,1%.
The real wage index in IV quarter 2025 was 98,4%.
In the IV quarter of 2025 the average per capita nominal cash income of the population of the region, according to the estimate, amounted to 282222 tenge, which is 14% higher than in IV quarter 2024, the growth rate of real cash income for the specified period is 101%.
The volume of industrial production at current prices in January-March 2026 amounted to 1081426,2 million tenge, which is 4,9% more than in January-March 2025.
In the manufacturing industry production volumes increased by 8%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning – by 1,6%, in the water supply; sanitation; waste collection, treatment and disposal, pollution elimination activities – by 46,4%, in the мining and quarrying decreased by 2,6%.
The volume of gross output of agriculture, forestry and fisheries products (services) in January-March 2026 amounted to 45100,2 million tenge, or 104% by January-March 2025.
The volume of cargo turnover in January-March 2026 amounted to 8721 million tkm (taking into account the assessment of the volume of cargo turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), or 99,2% compared to January-March 2025. The volume of passenger traffic – 463,6 million pkm, or 96,2% by January-March2025.
The volume of construction works (services) amounted to 45,1 billion tenge, or 126,6% of the corresponding period of last year.
In January-March 2026, the total area of housing put into operation increased by 5,1% and amounted to 56905 square meters, of which in multi-apartment buildings increased by 277,2% (23464 square meters). In this case the total area of commissioned individual residential buildings decreased by 31,7% (30794 square meters).
The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-March 2026 amounted to 175,6 billion tenge, or 114,6% of the corresponding period of last year.
The number of registered legal entities as of April 1, 2026 amounted to 16786 units and decreased by 1,4% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, including 16426 units with less than 100 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 14196 units, including 13836 units - small businesses. The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 14241 units and decreased by 1,5% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.
The volume of gross regional product for January-September 2025 amounted to 3495387,8 million tenge at current prices. Compared to the corresponding period in 2024, real GRP increased by 4,1%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 51,5%, services –41,8%.
The consumer price index in March 2026 compared to December 2025 was 101,9%.
Prices for food products increased by 2,3%, non-food products – by 2,2%, paid services for the population – by 1,2%.
The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in March 2026 ompared to December 2025 increased by 2,9%.
The volume of retail trade in January-March 2026 amounted to 155,2 billion tenge, or 0,7% more than the corresponding period in 2025.
The volume of wholesale trade in January-March 2026 amounted to 300,2 billion tenge, or 43,1% more than the corresponding period in 2025.
According to preliminary data, in January-February 2026, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 210,8 million US dollars and increasedby 14,7% compared to January-February 2025, including exports – 114,7 million US dollars (22,9% less),and imports – 96,1 million US dollars (2,4% less).
