Population of the Pavlodar region as of September 1, 2026 amounted to 742,1 thousand people, including 531,9 thousand people (71,7%) – urban residents, 210,2 thousand people (28,3%) – rural residents.
Natural population growth in January-August 2026 amounted to 287 people (in the corresponding period of the previous year – 1072 people). For January-August 2026 the number of births was 5130 people (8,9% less than in January-August 2025), the number of deaths was 4843 people (6,2% more than in January-August 2025).
The migration balance is negative and amounted to – -3444 people (in January-August 2025 – -5026 people), including in external migration a positive balance of – 176 people (305), in internal migration a negative balance of – -3620 people (-5331).
The number of unemployed in the II quarter of 2026 amounted to 19,4 thousand people.
The unemployment rate was 4,8% of the labor force.
The number of persons registered with employment agencies as unemployed as of Oktober 1, 2026 amounted to 14147 people, or 3,5% of the labor force.
The average monthly nominal wages accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activities) in the II quarter of 2026 amounted to 450583 tenge, an increase compared to the II quarter of 2025 amounted to 9,4%.
The real wage index in II quarter 2026 was 98,6%.
The volume of industrial production at current prices in January-September 2026 amounted to 3287556 million tenge, which is 8% more than in January-September 2025.
In the manufacturing industry production volumes increasedby 11,5%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning – by 5,5%, in the water supply; sanitation; waste collection, treatment and disposal, pollution elimination activities – by 43,2%, in the мining and quarrying decreased by 0,8%.
The volume of gross output of agriculture, forestry and fisheries products (services) in January-September 2026 amounted to 378739,4 million tenge, or 106,8% by January-September 2025.
The volume of cargo turnover in January- September 2026 amounted to 21736,8 million tkm (taking into account the assessment of the volume of cargo turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), or 88% compared to January- September 2025. The volume of passenger traffic – 1526,7million pkm, or 96,8% by January- September 2025.
The volume of construction works (services) amounted to 430,5 billion tenge, or 118,8% compared to January-September 2025.
In January- September 2026, the total area of housing put into operation increased by 11,4% and amounted to 265459 square meters, of which in multi-apartment buildings increased by 77,2% (172670 square meters). In this case the total area of commissioned individual residential buildings decreased by 36,7% (85516 square meters).
The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-September 2026 amounted to 961,3 billion tenge, or 113,8% of the corresponding period of last year.
The number of registered legal entities as of October 1, 2026 amounted to 16914 units and decreased by 1,4% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, including 16555 units with less than 100 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 14296 units, including 13937 units - small businesses. The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 14354 units and decreased by 1,7% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.
The volume of gross regional product for January-June 2026 amounted to 2903171 million tenge at current prices. Compared to the corresponding period in 2025, real GRP increased by 10,6%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 47,4%, services – 44,9%.
The consumer price index in September 2026 compared to December 2025 was 105%.
Prices for food products increased by 3,7%, non-food products – by 6,4%, paid services for the population – by 5,3%.
The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in September 2026 ompared to December 2025 increased by 7,6%.
The volume of retail trade in January-September 2026 amounted to 638,1 billion tenge, or 3,8% more than the corresponding period in 2025.
The volume of wholesale trade in January-September 2026 amounted to 1131,1 billion tenge, or 28,3% more than the corresponding period in 2025.
According to preliminary data, in January-August 2026, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 1069 million US dollars and decreased by 3,5% compared to January-August 2025, including exports – 532,9 million US dollars (1,4% less), and imports – 536,2 million US dollars (5,5% less).
