Population of the Pavlodar region as of April 1, 2026 amounted to 744,1 thousand people, including 532,3 thousand people (71,5%) – urban residents, 211,8 thousand people (28,5%) – rural residents.
Natural population growth in January-March 2026 amounted to 91 people (in the corresponding period of the previous year – 358 people). For January-March 2026 the number of births was 1898 people (5% less than in January-March 2025), the number of deaths was 1807 people (10,2% more than in January-March 2025).
The migration balance is negative and amounted to – -1202 people (in January-March 2025 – -1690 people), including in external migration a positive balance of –194 people (113), in internal migration a negative balance of – -1396 people (-1803).
The number of unemployed in the I quarter of 2026 amounted to 19,5 thousand people.
The unemployment rate was 4,9% of the labor force.
The number of persons registered with employment agencies as unemployed as of May 1, 2026 amounted to 11502 people, or 2.8% of the labor force.
The average monthly nominal wages accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activities) in the I quarter of 2026 amounted to 448906 tenge, an increase compared to the I quarter of 2025 amounted to 12,4%.
The real wage index in I quarter 2026 was 99,6%.
In the IV quarter of 2025 the average per capita nominal cash income of the population of the region, according to the estimate, amounted to 282222 tenge, which is 14% higher than in IV quarter 2024, the growth rate of real cash income for the specified period is 101%.
The volume of industrial production at current prices in January-April 2026 amounted to 1451743,9 million tenge, which is 6,2% more than in January-April 2025.
In the manufacturing industry production volumes increased by 7,3%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning – by 9%, in the water supply; sanitation; waste collection, treatment and disposal, pollution elimination activities – by 65,5%, in the мining and quarrying decreased by 0,5%.
The volume of gross output of agriculture, forestry and fisheries products (services) in January-April 2026 amounted to 63570,5 million tenge, or 104,5% by January-April 2025.
The volume of cargo turnover in January-April 2026 amounted to 11779,2 million tkm (taking into account the assessment of the volume of cargo turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), or 101,6% compared to January-April 2025. The volume of passenger traffic – 638,1 million pkm, or 97% by January-April 2025.
The volume of construction works (services) amounted to 68 billion tenge, or 127,2% of the corresponding period of last year.
In January-April 2026, the total area of housing put into operation increased by 1,7% and amounted to 70301 square meters, of which in multi-apartment buildings increased by 68,5% (26102 square meters). In this case the total area of commissioned individual residential buildings decreased by 25,1% (39732 square meters).
The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-April 2026 amounted to 251,1 billion tenge, or 113,8% of the corresponding period of last year.
The number of registered legal entities as of May 1, 2026 amounted to 16791 units and decreased by 1,2% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, including 16433 units with less than 100 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 14173 units, including 13815 units - small businesses. The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 14245 units and decreased by 1,4% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.
The volume of gross regional product for January-December 2025 amounted to 6053198,8million tenge at current prices. Compared to the corresponding period in 2024, real GRP increased by 5,2%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 51,7%, services –42,9%.
The consumer price index in April 2026 compared to December 2025 was 102,9%.
Prices for food products increased by 2,8%, non-food products – by 3,4%, paid services for the population – by 2,5%.
The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in April 2026ompared to December 2025 increased by 5,4%.
The volume of retail trade in January-April 2026 amounted to 219,3 billion tenge, or 1,2% more than the corresponding period in 2025.
The volume of wholesale trade in January-April 2026 amounted to 430,7 billion tenge, or 46% more than the corresponding period in 2025.
According to preliminary data, in January-March 2026, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to
346,8 million US dollars and decreased by 8,6% compared to January-March 2025, including exports – 185 million US dollars (13% less), and imports – 161,8 million US dollars (2,9% less).
