Population of the Pavlodar region as of June 1, 2026 amounted to 743,6 thousand people, including 532,3 thousand people (71,6%) – urban residents, 211,3 thousand people (28,4%) – rural residents.
Natural population growth in January-May 2026 amounted to 214 people (in the corresponding period of the previous year – 666 people). For January-May 2026 the number of births was 3144 people (9,7% less than in January-May 2025), the number of deaths was 2930 people (4,1% more than in January-May 2025).
The migration balance is negative and amounted to – -1817 people (in January-May 2025 – -2936 people), including in external migration a positive balance of –223 people (222), in internal migration a negative balance of – -2040 people (-3158).
The number of unemployed in the I quarter of 2026 amounted to 19,5 thousand people.
The unemployment rate was 4,9% of the labor force.
The number of persons registered with employment agencies as unemployed as of Jule 1, 2026 amounted to 13427people, or 3,4% of the labor force.
The average monthly nominal wages accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activities) in the I quarter of 2026 amounted to 448906 tenge, an increase compared to the I quarter of 2025 amounted to 12,4%.
The real wage index in I quarter 2026 was 99,6%.
The volume of industrial production at current prices in January-June2026 amounted to 2185054,3 million tenge, which is 5,8% more than in January-June2025.
In the manufacturing industry production volumes increasedby8,8%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning – by 5,7%,in the water supply; sanitation; waste collection, treatment and disposal, pollution elimination activities – by 60,3%, in the мining and quarrying decreased by 3,8%.
The volume of gross output of agriculture, forestry and fisheries products (services) in January-June 2026 amounted to 110313,7 million tenge, or 104,6% by January-June 2025.
The volume of cargo turnover in January-June2026 amounted to 15143,2million tkm (taking into account the assessment of the volume of cargo turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation), or 93,5% compared to January- June2025. The volume of passenger traffic – 995,1million pkm, or 96,3% by January-June2025.
The volume of construction works (services) amounted to 193 billion tenge, or 129,6% of the corresponding period of last year.
In January-June 2026, the total area of housing put into operation increased by 1,2% and amounted to 166282 square meters, of which in multi-apartment buildings increased by 72,3% (105234 square meters). In this case the total area of commissioned individual residential buildings decreased by 46,4% (55012 square meters).
The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-June 2026 amounted to 516billion tenge, or 109,8% of the corresponding period of last year.
The number of registered legal entities as of Jule 1, 2026 amounted to 16809 units and decreased by 1,4% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, including 16450 units with less than 100 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 14181 units, including 13822 units - small businesses. The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 14255units and decreased by 1,6% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.
The volume of gross regional product for January-March2026 amounted to 1438391,3million tenge at current prices. Compared to the corresponding period in 2025, real GRP increased by 7,9%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 51,7%, services –40,6%.
The consumer price index in June2026 compared to December 2025 was 104,3%.
Prices for food products increased by 4,2%, non-food products – by 4,6%, paid services for the population – by 4,2%.
The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in June 2026 ompared to December 2025 increased by 8,2%.
The volume of retail trade in January-June 2026 amounted to 361,5 billion tenge, or 3,1% more than the corresponding period in 2025.
The volume of wholesale trade in January-June 2026 amounted to 718,3 billion tenge, or 40,5% more than the corresponding period in 2025.
According to preliminary data, in January-May 2026, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to
617,9 million US dollars and decreased by 6,8% compared to January-May 2025, including exports – 313,8million US dollars (7,7% less),and imports – 304,1million US dollars (5,9% less).
