In January–June 2026 the total area of housing increased by 35,6% compared to January–June 2025 and amounted to 843,1 thousand square meters, of which in apartment buildings it increased by a factor 91,1% (377,6 thousand square metersе). The total area of individual residential buildings increased by 9,4% (464,3 thousand square meters).
The volume of investments in fixed capital in January–June 2026 amounted to 532101 million tenge, or 18,5% by January–June 2025.
The number of registered legal entities as of July 1, 2026, amounted to 22595 units and increased by 4.5% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, including 22094 units with less than 100 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 18441 units, including 17943 units small businesses. The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 19421 units and increased by 5,4% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.
The volume of gross regional product for January–March 2026, amounted to 1619026,6 million tenge at current prices. Compared to the corresponding period of January–March 2025, real GRP increased by 6,8%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 41,9%, services 47%.
The consumer price index in June 2026 сompared to December 2025 was 105,4%.
Prices for food products increased by–3,8%, non-food products by–5,1%, paid services for the population by–8,7%.
The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in June 2026 compared to December 2025 increased by–2,9%.
The volume of retail trade in January–June 2026 amounted to 425628,7 million tenge, or 111,2% more than the corresponding period in 2025.
The volume of wholesale trade in January–June 2026 amounted to 674016,8 million tenge, or 120,3% compared to the corresponding period in 2025.
According to preliminary data, in January–May 2026, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 533,5 million US dollars and increased by 1,1% compared to January–May 2025, including exports 230,5 million US dollars (a increase of 6,2%), imports 303 million US dollars (an decrease of 2,5%).
