The natural increase in the population in January 2025 amounted to 1405 people (in the corresponding period of the previous year – 2000 people).
The number of births as January 2025 amounted to 2143 people (26,5% less than in January 2024) the number of deaths amounted to 738 people (19,3% less than in January 2024).
The balance of migration is positive and amounted to 620 people (in January 2024 – 59 people), including in external migration – a positive balance of 37 people (in January 2024 - 59 people), in internal – positive 583 people and (in January 2024 (-118) people).
The number of unemployed in the IV quarter of 2024 amounted to 35,5 thousand people.
The unemployment rate was 4,7% of the labor force.
The number of persons registered with employment agencies as by the end of February, 2025 amounted to 20685 people, or 2,8% of the labor force.
The average monthly nominal wages accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activities) in the IV quarter of 2024 amounted to 353691 tenge, an increase compared to the IV quarter of 2023 amounted to 10,7%.
The real wage index in IV quarter 2024 was 104,1%.
In the III quarter of 2024 the average per capita nominal cash income of the population of the region, according to the estimate, amounted to 144226 tenge, which is 11,4% higher than in III quarter 2023, the growth rate of real cash income for the specified period is 5,6%.
The volume of industrial production in January-February 2025 amounted to 323007,6 million tenge in current prices, which is 17,8% more than in January-February 2024.
In the mining industry, production volumes increased by 57,3%, in manufacturing industry by 18,5%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioned by 2,5% and decreased in water supply, waste collection, processing and waste disposal, pollution elimination activities of 2,1%.
The volume of gross output of agriculture, forestry, hunting and fisheries in January-February 2025 amounted to 52689,4 million tenge, or 102,3% by January-February 2024.
The volume of cargo turnover in January-February 2025 amounted to 4113,3 million tkm (taking into account the assessment of the volume of cargo turnover of individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial transportation) or 118% compared to January-February 2024.
The volume of passenger traffic – 385,8 million pkm. or 234,7% by January-February 2024.
The volume of construction works (services) amounted to 16555,5 million tenge, which is 74,8% more than in January-February 2024.
In January-February 2025, the total area of housing decreased by 23,6% and amounted to 102,1 thousand square meters, of which in apartment buildings decreased - by 74,6% (15,0 thousand square metersе.). The total area of individual residential buildings increased by 17,0% (87,1 thousand square meters).
The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-February 2025 amounted to 89111,0 million tenge, or 16% more than in January-February 2024.
The number of registered legal entities as of March 1, 2025 amounted to 21230 units and increased by 6,3% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, including 20752 units with less than 160 employees. The number of operating legal entities amounted to 17747 units, including 17271 units - small businesses. The number of registered small and medium enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 18039 units and increased by 6,9% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.
The volume of gross regional product for January-September 2024 amounted to 3778763,1 million tenge at current prices. Compared to the corresponding period of January-September 2023, real GRP increased by 8,3%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods amounted to 42,1%, services – 51,2%.
The consumer price index in February 2025 сompared to February 2024 was 107,4%.
Prices for food products increased by 6,1%, non-food products – by 5,9%, paid services for the population – by 13,3%. The prices of enterprises producing industrial products in February 2025 compared to February 2024 increased by 9,1%.
The volume of retail trade in January-February 2025 amounted to 96054 million tenge, or 103,5% more than the corresponding period in 2024.
The volume of wholesale trade in January-February 2025 amounted to 144597,7 million tenge, or 122% compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
According to preliminary data, in January 2025, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 76,8 million US dollars and increased by 26,9% compared to January 2024, including exports – 36,3 million US dollars (by 63,4% more), imports – 40,5 million US dollars (5,8% more).
