The population of the region as of November 1,2023 amounted to 221,6 thousand people, including 175,3 thousand people (79.1 %) of urban, and 46,2 thousand people (20.8 %) rural residents.
The natural population growth in January – October 2023 amounted to 2199 people (in the corresponding period of the previous year, 2128 people). In January - October 2023, 3739 newborns were registered, which is 0.8 % less than in the analogous period of 2022, the number of deaths was 1540 people or 6.3 %.less.
The migration balance is negative and amounted to – 2020 people (in January- October 2022 – -1884 people), including -134 (-197 people) in external migration, and -1886 (-1687 people) in internal migration.
Average per capita nominal monetary income of the population according to the assessment in II quarter of 2023 amounted to 252678 tenge. Compared to the corresponding period in 2022, the increase was 22,7% in nominal and 5,1% in real money income.
The number of unemployed in the 3 quarter of 2023 amounted to 4535 people. The unemployment rate was 4,2% of the labor force. The number of persons registered with the employment authorities as unemployed at the end of October 2023 amounted to 2354 people, or 2,3% of the labor force.
The average monthly nominal wage accrued to employees (excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activi-ties) in the third quarter 2023 amounted to 471 300 tenge, an increase to the quarter 2022 amounted 19,4%. The real wage index in third quarter 2023 amounted to 105,4%.
The consumer price index in November 2023 compared to December 2022 was 110,2%. Prices for food products increased by 11,2%, non-food products - by 8,5%, and paid services for the population - by 10,8%.
Prices of enterprises-manufacturers of industrial products in November 2023 compared to December 2022 decreased by 0,8%.
The volume of retail trade in January-September 2023 amounted to 73 338,8 million tenge, or 105,7% more than the corresponding period in 2022.
The volume of wholesale trade in January- September 2023 amounted to 79 582,2 million tenge, or 2% compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
According to preliminary data, in January-August 2023, mutual trade with the EAEU countries amounted to 55,9 million US dollars and increased by 1,8 times compared to January- August 2022, including imports – 29,3 million US dollars (in 1,2 times more), exports – 26,6 million US dollars (in 3,4 times more).
The volume of industrial production in January-October 2023 amounted to 864,9 billion tenge in current prices, which is 3,4% less than in the corresponding period of 2022 In the mining and quarrying industry, production volumes increased by 2,4%, in the manufacturing industry – less by 8,8%, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning – less by 5,2%, in water supply, collection, waste treatment and disposal, pollution elimination activities decreased by 26.9%.
The volume of gross output (services) of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in January-October 2023 amounted to 92 407,4 million tenge, which is less than in January -October 2022 by 4,1%.
The volume of construction work (services) amounted to 72 913,6 million tenge, or 89,1% against January- October 2022 .
The volume of investments in fixed assets in January-October 2023 amounted to 152 516,5 million tenge, or 122,4% compared to the corresponding period of 2022 .
The number of registered legal entities as of october 1 , 2023 amounted to 3022 units. The number of operating legal en-tities amounted to 2689 units, among which 2595 units are small enterprises.
The number of registered small and medium –sized enterprises (legal entities) in the region amounted to 2062 units and increased by 1.7% compared to the corresponding date of the previous year.
