In September 2024, 163.9 thousand units of motor vehicles were registered¹⁾,compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the indicator decreased by 3.2%, including passenger cars increased by 4%, trucks increased by 6% and buses increased by 3.6%.

Experts from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) have conducted the second stage of the Review of the National Statistical System of Kazakhstan. At this stage of the Review, the current state of the statistical infrastructure, quality and international comparability of statistical data in the main areas of statistics are assessed.

IPV in «the Trade» sector in January-October 2024 compared to the corresponding period last year amounted to 107.3% (January-October 2023 – 110.4%).

In the III quarter of 2024, the unemployment rate in Kazakhstan, calculated according to the International Labour Organisation's methodology (who did not have a profitable occupation (job), were actively looking for it and were ready to start it), amounted to 4.6%.

The average value of nominal wages in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the III quarter of 2024 amounted to 390328 tenge.

In October 2024, the monthly consumer price index accelerated and amounted to 0.9% (in September of this year – 0.4%). Prices for paid services increased by 1.4%, non-food products – by 1%, food products – by 0.4%.

In August 2024, 141.5 thousand units of motor vehicles were registered¹⁾,compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the indicator increased by 44.1%, including passenger cars increased by 52.7%, trucks increased by 8.5% and buses decreased by 8.5%.

The average per capita nominal monetary income of the population in 2023 amounted on average per month to 189953 tenge and in nominal terms increased by 15.5% compared to 2022. Taking into account the consumer price index of this period (14,5%), the monetary incomes of the population in real terms increased by 0.9%.

In April 2024 the Bureau conducted an annual survey of the distribution of employees by salary level.

The Bureau of National Statistics is launching three new accounts within the system environmental-economic accounting, which will allow for a more in-depth analysis of data on the use of natural resources and their impact on the environment.
