The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has officially confirmed Kazakhstan’s adherence to the Recommendation on Good Statistical Practice.
The physical volume index (PVI) of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for January-March 2025 (a reported data) in relation to 2024 amounted to the appropriate period 105,6%.
Kazakhstan has become the first country in the CIS to incorporate mobile data into official tourism statistics. This groundbreaking initiative is being implemented by the Bureau of National Statistics with the support of the World Bank and aligns with the Head of State’s directives to introduce innovative approaches to data management.

Today, the Bureau of National Statistics presented the results of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) at the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The survey was conducted with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). It has become the largest source of comprehensive data on the situation of children and women in Kazakhstan in recent years.
In the I quarter of 2025, the unemployment rate1) in Kazakhstan, calculated according to the International Labour Organisation's methodology (who did not have a profitable occupation (job), were actively looking for it and were ready to start it), amounted to 4,6%.
The average value of nominal wages in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the I quarter of 2025 amounted to 423133 tenge. The growth by the corresponding quarter of 2024 was 10,7%, in real terms, the increase – by 1,2%. The median value of wages (the central level of the salary range) was estimated in the I quarter of 2025, amounted to 300 307 tenge.
