In January-June 2026 compared to January-June 2025, the highest growth rates of physical volume indices are observed in the sectors of construction (115,2%), transportation and storage (107,1%) and trade (105,7%).
The lowest growth in physical volume indices occurred in the sectors of industry (103,5%) communication (104,3%) and agriculture (104,4%).
In January-June 2026 compared to January-June 2025, most regions showed positive growth rates in STEI.
The highest rates are observed in Turkistan (126,3%), Ulytau (117,0%) and Аlmaty (114,8%) regions. Negative growth rates have developed in Batys Kazakhstan (93,6%), Аtyrau (94,7%), Akmola (99,5%) and Shygys Kazakhstan (99,8%) regions.
The calculation of the short-term economic indicator is carried out to ensure timeliness and is based on changes in production indices in key sectors: agriculture, industry, construction, trade, transport and communication which constitute over 60% of GDP.
