In January-December 2025 compared to January-December 2024, the highest growth rates of physical volume indices are observed in the sectors of transportation and storage (120,4%), construction (115,9%), trade (108,9%) and industry (107,5%).

The lowest growth in physical volume indices occurred in the sectors of communication (103,6%) and agriculture (105,9%).

In January-December 2025 compared to January- December 2024, most regions showed positive growth rates in STEI.

The highest growth rates are seen in Astana city (117,6%), Shymkent city (116,7%), Turkistan region (113,9%) and Soltustik Кazakhstan region (113,8%). A negative growth rate has developed in the Shygys Kazakhstan region (99,1%).

The calculation of the short-term economic indicator is carried out to ensure timeliness and is based on changes in production indices in key sectors: agriculture, industry, construction, trade, transport and communication which constitute over 60% of GDP.
