In January-December 2024 compared to January-December 2023, the highest growth rates of physical volume indices are observed in the sectors of agriculture (113,7%), construction (113,1%), trade (109,1%) and transportation and storage (108,5%).

The lowest growth in physical volume indices occurred in the sectors of industry (102,8%) and communication (105,0%).

In January-December 2024 compared to January-December 2023, most regions showed positive growth rates in STEI. The highest growth rates are seen in Soltustik Kazakhstan (120,0%), Zhetisu (114,8%) and Karagandy (113,7%) regions. Negative growth rates were observed in Atyrau region (92,0%).

The calculation of the short-term economic indicator is carried out to ensure timeliness and is based on changes in production indices in key sectors: agriculture, industry, construction, trade, transport, andcommunication which constitute over 60% of GDP.
