In January-July 2024 compared to January-July 2023, the highest growth rates of physical volume indices are observed in the sectors of construction (108,7%), communication (108,3%) and transportation and storage (107,4%).

The lowest growth in physical volume indices occurred in the sectors of industry (102,9%), agriculture (103,7%) and trade (104,9%).

In January-July 2024 compared to January-July 2023, most regions showed positive growth rates in STEI. Negative growthates were observed in Atyrau (95,6%), Kostanay (97,6%) regions. The highest growth rates are seen in Karagandy region (112,5%), Zhetisu region (112,4%)and in city Shymkent (111,6%).

The calculation of the short-term economic indicator is carried out to ensure timeliness and is based on changes in production indices in key sectors: agriculture, industry, construction, trade, transport, andcommunication which constitute over 60% of GDP.
