Construction statistics The increase in the volume of construction work in 2025 compared to 2024 is due to construction and repair of facilities (18,7%).
The largest share of construction work (services) is accounted for by the construction of roads, railways, and subways (23,7%), non-residential buildings (22,6% of the total), and residential buildings (12,3%).
In terms of region, an increase in construction work was observed in nineteen regions of the republic in 2025. Significant growth was observed in the cities of Almaty (by 51,4%), Astana (by 34,6%).Shymkent (20,7%), Ulytau (32,6%), Soltustik Kazakhstan (28,3%), Akmola (24,6%), Kostanay (24,4%), Pavlodar (24,4%), Kyzylorda (21,8%), Almaty (18,7%), Aktobe (18%), Turkistan (17,9%), Zhambyl (16,2%) and Batys Kazakhstan regions (12,3%).
At the same time, there was a decrease in Atyrau region (by 22,8%).

In 2025 the total area of new facilities put into operation amounted to 28232,1 thousand square meters.
The total area of commissioned housing increased by 6,2% compared to 2024 and amounted to 20314,4 thousand square meters, of which 13712,9 thousand square meters are multi-apartment and 6423,8 thousand square meters - individual houses.
Most of the housing – 18410 thousand square meters or 90,6% was put into operation by private developers, of which the population is 7097,3 thousand square meters.

An increase in housing construction was observed in all regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A significant increase was noted in the Almaty region (by 11,4%) and the Zhetisu region (by 11,4%).
In the field of education and healthcare, 2025 was put into operation 250 general education schools for 238884 student seats, 64 preschool organizations for 9949 seats, 5 hospitals for 1745 beds and 166 outpatient clinics for 7111 visits per shift were commissioned.

Construction and installation work - construction work on the construction of buildings and structures, expansion, reconstruction and technical re-equipment; work on the installation of power, technological and other equipment.
Construction object - a separate building or structure with all related equipment, inventory, tools, galleries, flyovers, internal engineering networks and communications, for the construction (reconstruction, expansion) of which an independent object estimate is compiled.
Construction organizations include all general construction and specialized organizations, including repair and construction organizations. The main activity of construction organizations is to perform work under contracts with customers related to the type of economic activity "Construction" in accordance with the state "General Classifier of Economic Activities (GCEA).
The volume of construction work includes the cost of construction work performed by enterprises engaged in construction activities under concluded construction contracts, which includes construction of new facilities, major and current repairs, reconstruction, modernization of residential and non-residential buildings, engineering structures.
The index of the physical volume of construction works (services) is determined by the ratio of the volumes of completed construction works of the analyzed period to the previous period in actual prices, taking into account the deflator (price index).
The total area of a residential building (residential building) is calculated as the sum of the total areas of all dwellings and the areas of all non-residential premises, as well as the areas of parts of a residential building that are common property.
