Passenger turnover increased in the following cities: Almaty (23.4%), Shymkent (10.5%) and Almaty (2.3 times), Mangystau (57%), Atyrau (36.9%), Abay (21.4%), %), Karagandy (14.3%), Batys Kazakhstan (14.2%), Kyzylorda (14.1%), Aktobe (8.4%), Shygys Kazakhstan (8.4%), Pavlodar (7.4%), and Turkistan (0.6%) regions.

In January-March 2025, 111.3 million tons of cargo were transported by rail in the republic which is 14.9% up than the level of January-March 2024, cargo turnover during this period amounted to 83.7 billion. t-km (increased by 10.3% compared to January-March 2024), 4.7 million passengers were transported (8.2% less than in January-March 2024), passenger turnover amounted to 3.6 billion p-km (decreased by 5.4% compared to January-March 2024).
In January-March 2025, compared to the same period last year there was an increase in cargo transportation by 7.8% and cargo turnover of road transport increase by 58%. Passenger transportation and passenger transportation also increased by 13.1% and 30.6%, respectively.
In January-March 2025, 85.8 million tons of cargo were transported (17.7% more than in January-March 2024), cargo turnover amounted to 42.8 billion. t-km (increased by 14.5% compared to January-March 2024).
In January-March 2025, 3.3 million passengers were transported by air transport of the republic (increased by 2.2% compared to January-March 2024), passenger turnover amounted to 6.7 billion p-km (increased by 4.6% compared to January-March 2024).
In January-March 2025, 1 020.0 thousands tons of cargo were transported by sea, there is an increase in cargo transportation by 56% compared to January-March 2024, cargo turnover amounted to 478.4 million tons-km and increased by 21.4% compared to January-March 2024.
