Definition of the Indicator
The percentage of children under the age of 5 who have a weight-to-age ratio (below or above) the median value of this indicator for children of the same age, established by WHO: a) by two standard deviations (moderate and severe deviation from the norm); b) by three standard deviations (severe deviation from the norm).
Methodology for Calculation
The indicator is calculated as the number of children under the age of 5 whose weight-to-height ratio is lower/higher than the median value of this indicator for children of the same age, established by WHO: a) by two standard deviations (moderate and severe deviations from the norm); b) by three standard deviations (severe deviations from the norm) to the total number of children under the age of 5.
