Regionally in January-October 2025, increased in cargo turnover is noted in Astana (16,7%) city, Atyrau (47%), Zhetisu (43,9%), Abay (31,5%), Mangystau (27,8%), Turkistan (24,9%), Pavlodar (12,1%), Aktobe (9,5%), Kostanay (8,6%), Almaty (7,9%), Batys Kazakhstan (7,5%), Karagandy (6,1%), Kyzylorda (5,1%), Soltustik Kazakhstan (1,4%) and Ulytau (1%) regions.
Passenger turnover increased in the following cities: Shymkent (28,5%), Almaty (25,1%), Almaty (1,6 times), Turkistan (19,8%), Kyzylorda (15,8%), Abay (13,7%), Karagandy (11%), Shygys Kazakhstan (9,3%), Mangystau (9,1%), Aktobe (5,7%), Zhetisu (5,3%), Batys Kazakhstan (4,7%) and Pavlodar (4,4%) regions.

In January-October 2025, 380,3 million tons of cargo were transported by rail in the republic which is 7,9% up than the level of January-October 2024, cargo turnover during this period amounted to 286,8 billion t-km (increased by 7,2% compared to January-October 2024), 16,4 million passengers were transported (6,7% less than in January-October 2024), passenger turnover amounted to 13,4 billion p-km (decreased by 2,7% compared to January-October 2024).
In January-October 2025, compared to the same period last year there was an increase in cargo transportation by 1,7% and cargo turnover of road transport increase by 31,6%. Passenger transportation and passenger turnover also increased by 12,2% and 13,8%, respectively.
In January-October 2025, 282,9 million tons of cargo were transported (15,6% more than in January-October 2024), cargo turnover amounted to 145,1 billion t-km (increased by 16,8% compared to January-October 2024).
In January-October 2025, 13,1 million passengers were transported by air transport of the republic (increased by 6,1% compared to January-October 2024), passenger turnover amounted to 25,4 billion p-km (increased by 7,5% compared to January-October 2024).
In January-October 2025, 197,3 thousand tons of cargo were transported by inland waterway (decreased by 43,5% compared to January-October 2024), 252,9 thousand passengers were transported (increased by 9,4% compared to January-October 2024).
In January-October 2025, 3 158,7 thousands tons of cargo were transported by sea, there is an increase in cargo transportation by 33,5% compared to January-October 2024, cargo turnover amounted to 1 462 million tons-km and increased by 8,4% compared to January-October 2024.
