Statistics of agriculture, forestry, hunting and fisheries The gross output of agricultural products (services) in 2023 amounted to 7 576.5 billion tenge, which is 8.4% less than in the previous year.
The largest share in the total volume of gross output (services) of agriculture was occupied by Turkistan (12.7%), Soltustik Kazakhstan (10%), ,Almaty (9.2) and Akmola (9.2%) regions.
Gross crop production in the reporting period compared to 2022 was produced less by 14.1%, which is associated with a decline in the production of grain and leguminous crops by 22.8%, oilseeds - by 31%.
In agricultural enterprises, there was a decreased in crop production by 22.6%, for individual entrepreneurs, peasant or farm enterprises - by 11.9% and in households - by 3.3%.
Turkistan (14%), Soltustik Kazakhstan (12.7%), Kostanai (11%), and Akmola (8.7%) regions occupied the largest share in the total volume of gross output of crop production.
Gross livestock production increased by 4.5%, due to an increase in the production of breeding of farm poultry– by 11.7%, cattle of the dairy direction by 2.7%, horses and other animals of the equine family - by 6.7%, other cattle and buffaloes – by 3.1%,
In agricultural enterprises, gross livestock output increased by 12.1%, in individual entrepreneurs and peasant or farm enterprises - increased by 4.1%, in households - by 1.5%.
The largest share in the total volume of gross output of animal husbandry was occupied by Almaty (10.9%), Turkistan (10.8%), Akmola (9.8%), and Abai (7.3%) regions.
Gross output of products (services) of agriculture, forestry and fisheries is the total value of products and services created in the sectors of the agricultural sector, both for sale and for own consumption. It is formed from the gross output of agricultural products (services), the value of products (services) produced in hunting, forestry and logging, fishing and aquaculture;
Gross output of agricultural products (services) - the total value of products and services created in crop and livestock production, taking into account changes in the value of work in progress from the beginning to the end of the year;
Gross crop production - the value of all agricultural crops obtained from the current year's harvest (cereals, legumes and oilseeds, root crops and tubers, tobacco, vegetables and gourds, fruits and berries, fodder crops, flowers and other crop products), taking into account changes the value of work in progress in crop production from the beginning to the end of the year;
Gross livestock output - the value of all products obtained from farm animals (milk, eggs, wool, skins and others), the value of livestock and poultry slaughtered on farms or sold for slaughter, the value of beekeeping and fur farming products;
The index of the physical volume of gross output (services) of agriculture (GPI) is a relative indicator that characterizes the change in the volume of production in the industry in the compared periods.
The calculation of gross output is made at the level of certain categories of agricultural producers, including agricultural enterprises, individual entrepreneurs and peasant or private farms and households, by regions. The data are then summed to obtain gross output for the whole country.
The calculation of the gross output of products (services) of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in current prices begins with the determination of individual indicators included in its composition: gross crop production, gross livestock production, agricultural services, volumes of products (services) in forestry, fishing and fish farming, hunting.
For the calculation, the data of nationwide statistical observations on the production of agricultural products in physical terms are used separately in each category of agricultural producers by type of intended purpose.
The calculation of the cost of certain types of crop and livestock products is carried out according to the formula:
Si = ∑( qij * pi ),
Where
Si - the cost of the i-th type of crop or livestock products;
qij - production of the i-th type of product for the j-th purpose in physical terms;
pi - the price component for the i-th type of product in the corresponding category of agricultural producers.
