Methodology for Calculation
The volume of industrial production in physical terms represents the output of specific types of products expressed in natural units. The volume of industrial production in physical terms is recorded based on gross output, including products consumed for industrial and production needs within the same enterprise and products manufactured from tolling (customer-supplied) raw materials.
Source of the Indicator
The main sources of information on the production of industrial products of the country and its regions are data obtained from statistical surveys based on Form 1-P “Enterprise Report on Production and Shipment of Products (Goods, Services)” (annual) and Form 01-IP (ind.) “Report on Production of Industrial Products (Goods, Services) by an Individual Entrepreneur” (once every two years), expressed in physical terms.
Notes
Turkistan Region and the city of Shymkent (a city of republican significance) were established in 2018; the Abai, Zhetysu, and Ulytau regions were established in 2022.
