The total area of seized land is measured in km² or ha; the share of the total area of land withdrawn from productive turnover in the country is expressed as a percentage.
Definition of the Indicator
This indicator characterizes the areas of land withdrawn from productive turnover by type of land (mining and manufacturing land, land allocated for technical infrastructure, for transport, for commercial, financial and communal organizations, for residential areas and settlements). The indicator is formed as the average change and percentage of various types of land used for transport infrastructure, urban development and landfills, landfills, tailings dumps and waste dumps in relation to the total area of the country.
