The average value of nominal wages in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the II quarter of 2023 amounted to 365 502 tenge. The growth by the corresponding quarter of 2022 was 17.1%, in real terms, the increase – by 1.2%. The median value of wages (the central level of the salary range) was estimated in the II quarter of 2023, amounted to 240 779 tenge.
Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2022 the largest increase in average monthly wages was recorded – in information and communication – 36.0%, in transport and storage – 24.6%, in agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 23.7%, in the wholesale and retail trade; repair of cars and motorcycles – 21.8%. The growth of the average monthly wage in education was 10.2%, in health and social services – 15.6%.

Regionally, the largest growth was recorded in the Ulytau region – 23.8%, the smallest growth was recorded in Turkistan region – 12.2%.
The ratio between the maximum and minimum values of the average monthly nominal salary among the regions in the II quarter of 2023 was 2.1 times.
