Wages in I quarter of 2025*

The average value of nominal wages in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the I quarter of 2025 amounted to 423133 tenge. The growth by the corresponding quarter of 2024 was 10,7%, in real terms, the increase – by 1,2%. The median value of wages (the central level of the salary range) was estimated in the I quarter of 2025, amounted to 300307 tenge.

Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2024 the largest increase in average monthly wages was recorded in information and communication – by 31,3%, art, agriculture, forestry and fisheries – by 17,3%, art, entertainments and recreation – by 16,1%. In health and social services the average monthly wage increased – by 6,2%, in education– by 6,1%.

Regionally, the largest increase in average monthly nominal wages in the I quarter of 2025 compared to the corresponding quarter of 2024 was in the Ulytau region – by 19,4%, in the Коstanay region – by 14,6%, Almaty city – by 14,2%.

The ratio between the maximum and minimum values of the average monthly nominal salary among the regions in the I quarter of 2025 was 2,1 times.
