The number of employees employed in harmful and other adverse working conditions in 2023

According to the results of the annual survey of enterprises in the field of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, industry, construction, industry, construction, transport and storage, provision of accommodation and catering services, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, health and social services in conditions that do not meet sanitary and hygienic requirements (standards) 410.3 thousand people worked in 2023 (2022 – 386.3 thousand people) or 24.2% of the total number of employees of the surveyed enterprises.


In the regions, among the employees of the surveyed enterprises, the largest proportion of people employed in conditions that do not meet sanitary and hygienic requirements (standards) is noted in Karagandy region – 45.1%, Mangystau region – 43.6%, Pavlodar region – 42.2%, in Ulytau region – 40.2%, in Shygys Kazakhstan region – 32.5%. The smallest share of workers is noted in Kyzylorda region (8.8%).

In 2023, 255182.6 million tenge was spent on benefits and compensation for work in harmful and other unfavorable working conditions by enterprises (organizations). Additional holidays (type of benefits) was provided by 543.5 thousand people, 419.4 thousand people used surcharges for harmful and other adverse working conditions, received milk and equivalent food products 323.8 thousand people, received therapeutic and preventive nutrition 97.8 thousand people, in the mode of a shortened working day 45.8 thousand people worked.

Statistical observation is carried out annually by enterprises and organizations for certain types of economic activity, excluding small enterprises engaged in entrepreneurial activity.
