A Memorandum of Understanding between the Bureau of National Statistics and the Statistical, Economic, and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) was signed in Ankara. The document aims to promote and strengthen cooperation between the parties in areas of mutual interest through the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
The memorandum highlights the commitment of both sides to enhancing the capacity of national statistical systems. Under the agreement, joint symposia, seminars, and workshops will be organized to strengthen the statistical capabilities of Kazakhstan and other member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
«We are pleased to deepen our engagement with SESRIC. This Memorandum of Understanding will elevate our mutually beneficial cooperation in strengthening national statistical capacity» said Assel Shauyenova, Deputy Head of the Bureau.
According to the terms of the Memorandum, both parties will actively develop mutually advantageous relations and expand cooperation in various areas of statistics.
For reference: The Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Center for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) was founded in 1977 as a subsidiary body of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and began its activities in Ankara in 1978. The main functions of SESRIC include collecting and disseminating statistics, conducting analysis, evaluation and training.
