The Bureau of National Statistics of the ASPR of the RK and Statistics Indonesia (BPS) have reached an agreement to cooperate in the field of statistics by signing a letter of intention. The signing ceremony took place during the international forum “Digital Transformation of National Statistical Systems”, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s state statistics.

The document was signed by Maxat Turlubayev, Head of the Bureau of National Statistics of the ASPR of the RK, and Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi, Vice Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia.

The letter of intention outlines cooperation in the areas of statistics digitalization, improvement of economic data, development of geospatial systems, and enhancement of professional capacity of specialists. The parties agreed to exchange experience, introduce modern digital technologies, and jointly develop tools for data collection and analysis.

This new agreement is expected to improve the accuracy, transparency, and practical value of statistical information, contributing to more effective public governance.
