On 4-7 June the delegation of the Bureau of the National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by the Chair Maxat Turlubayev visited the UK Office of the National Statistics in London and Newport in the framework of Kazakhstan EGED (Effective Governance for Economic Development) Programme.

BNS delegation discussed with ONS methods and instruments they use in mobile data collection, agricultural statistics, SDG platform, scanner data for CPI and alternative sources.

BNS also met with the National Statistician Sir Ian Diamond. Both heads of Statistical Offices of the UK and Kazakhstan expressed their interest in continuation of mutual cooperation.
