Inflation in the Republic of Kazakhstan
In October 2025, the monthly consumer price index rose to 0.5%.
Among food products, price decreases were observed for bulb onions by 7.7%, apples – by 6.1%, beets – by 5.1%, cabbage – by 4.7%, carrot – by 4.4%, granulated sugar – by 2%, grapes – by 1.1%, lemons – by 0.8%. Prices increased for the following food items chocolate – by 2.3%, coffee, ready-made seasonings and sauces – by 1.8% each, dates – by 1.6%, cereal products – by 0.7%.
Among non-food products, in October of this year, prices decreased new domestically assembled cars by 1.5%. Umbrella incresed by 4.2%, electric heater – by 2.5%, cement – by 0.4%. Detergents and cleaning products, other items, devices and personal goods increased by 1% each, clothes and shoes, electrical household appliances – by 0.8% each.
In the sphere of housing and communal services, tariffs for cold water decreased by 40%, gas transported through distribution networks – by 10.7%, electricity – by 2%. Catering services have increased by 2%, hairdressersand beauty salons – by 1.5%, gym services – by 0.8%.
In annual terms, inflation in October 2025 amounted to 12.6%.
Year-on-year, prices decreased for rice by 8.3%, dried apricots – by 5%, tomatoes– by 1.4%. Dried fruits and nuts increased by 2.9%.
Among non-food products floor clothes dryer prices decreased by 31.7%, freezers – by 16.6%, ironing board – by 13.6%. The price level of cutlery by 7%, electric drill – by 5.9%, electric lamp – by 5.2%.
Compared to October 2024, prices for shoe repair services rose by 8.9%, maintenance and repair of residential premises – by 7.8%. Swimming pool services increased by 10%, gym services – by 8.8%.
The consumer price index, which characterizes the level of inflation, is calculated monthly. Observations are carried out on tariffs and prices for services and goods, for a total of 508 items. Dynamic changes in inflation can be viewed on a specially designed interactive dashboard, which covers indicators starting from 2018.
