Head of the Bureau of National Statistics met with SESRIC Director General Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk.

Head of the Bureau of National Statistics of the ASPR RK Maxat Turlubayev met with the General Director of the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Center for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) Her Highness Mrs. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk.

The meeting discussed the future prospects of cooperation between the Bureau and SESRIC in the field of statistics and socio-economic research. Maxat Turlubayev emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation in areas related to the organization of training programs and exchange of experience in technical cooperation.

In the course of the conversation, the parties also discussed a wide range of current issues, including statistical activities and international cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Ms. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk expressed confidence in the importance of cooperation with the Bureau of National Statistics, noting that SESRIC plays a key role in ensuring the availability and analysis of statistical data on OIC member states. This contributes to better informing countries about opportunities and needs, contributing to strengthening interaction and developing joint projects.

SESRIC is a key body of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), engaged in the collection, analysis and dissemination of socio-economic statistics on member states, as well as conducting research on economic and social development. The Center actively organizes training programs aimed at strengthening the administrative and technical capabilities of staff for the benefit of OIC Member States.

SESRIC was established in 1978 in Ankara by the resolution of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers. Since its establishment, the Center has played a significant role in promoting the socio-economic development of OIC Member States by supporting initiatives to strengthen cooperation in the fields of statistics, economic and social research.
