A training seminar for the Bureau staff was held in Astana with the participation of international FAO statistical experts.

During five days, FAO experts Rasmiya Aliyeva, Giorgi Kvinikadze and Anthony Burgarda held sessions on best practices, digital data collection and processing methods, and discussed the prospects of using administrative data and digital registers in the upcoming agricultural census.

«The National Agricultural Census will take place from August 1 to October 20, 2025. I am confident that our joint efforts will be an important step toward improving the methodology and practices of the agricultural census in our country. Together, we can successfully conduct a large-scale campaign that meets international standards», said the head of the Bureau, Maxat Turlubayev.

It should be noted that the seminar was organized as a part of the project «Technical support for conducting the National agricultural census of 2025», initiated by the Bureau of National Statistics with the assistance of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
