Today, the Bureau of National Statistics hosted a meeting with a delegation from the National Data Administration of the People's Republic of China. The Chinese agency, established in 2023, plays a key role in coordinating the national data strategy, developing data infrastructure, promoting data integration and exchange, as well as in the overall planning of China’s digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence.
Maxat Turlubayev, Head of the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan, emphasized the importance of the meeting in the context of the Bureau’s ongoing transformation efforts to transition towards a digital national data agency.
“It is a great honor for us to welcome guests from China’s National Data Administration. We are very interested in your work, and I believe we will find many areas of common interest”, noted Maxat Turlubayev.
Ms. Yu Yin, Deputy Head of the National Data Administration of the People's Republic of China, expressed confidence in fruitful cooperation and mutual exchange of experience.
“I hope that in the near future we will be able to explore prospects for cooperation in the exchange of experience on unified standards and norms for data from various sources, as well as in building effective data governance policies in the era of digitalization. Taking this opportunity, we would like to invite you to participate in the Digital Economy Forum, which will be held within the framework of the SCO Summit”, she noted.
