Indicator:
Brief description:
This indicator presents the consumption of pesticides, as a total and per unit of agricultural area
Methodology:
The indicator is formed in accordance with the "Methodology for the formation of environmental statistics indicators" approved by Order No. 223 of the Acting Chairman of the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 25, 2015.

The responsible state body for the formation of data on the introduction of pesticides is the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Unit:
Amounts of pesticides are measured in tons; pesticide consumption per unit of agricultural area is expressed as kilogram per hectare.
Goal:
The indicator provides a measure of the pressure on the environment in terms of the intensity of pesticide consumption.
