In order to improve skills in working with Data Literacy data among the general public, including civil servants, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is planned to launch a training program on working with data with free access. The program will be available through an online educational platform in various languages.
The program is aimed at increasing statistical literacy and introducing a culture of data-driven decision making through applied and adapted case studies for Kazakhstan. The program will increase the demand for data from the population and government agencies, which in turn will lead to an increase in the quality of decisions made.
At the same time, the program will be focused on different levels of knowledge and needs of participants, ranging from the most basic level of knowledge to the most advanced level of data analysts and data scientists.
The basic course is supposed to teach citizens, schoolchildren and students, the very basics of statistics.
In addition, the availability of educational material on online learning platforms will continuously increase the awareness of the target audience in statistics.
