Brief description:
This indicator defines the amount of reused water as a total, as a percentage of total freshwater use, and broken down by economic activity according to the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC).
Methodology:
The indicator is formed in accordance with the "Methodology for the formation of environmental statistics indicators" approved by Order No. 223 of the Acting Chairman of the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 25, 2015.

This indicator is monitored and formed on the basis of the annual statistical observation 1-VK "Report on the work of enterprises operating water supply and (or) sanitation systems", formed by the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as on the basis of departmental statistical observation 2-TP (vodkhoz) "On the intake, use and disposal of water", formed by the Ministry of Water resources and irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Unit:
The total volume of reused water and the volume by economic activity are measured in million cubic metres per year; the ratio between reused water and total freshwater use is presented as a percentage.
Goal:
The indicator provides a measure of the response to national actions to improve the efficiency of water management systems in different economic sectors.
