Brief description:
This indicator shows the proportion of drinking water samples that exceed national quality standards in the total number of drinking water samples taken from various sources related to the water system (water supply companies, open water intakes, underground water).
Methodology:
The indicator is formed in accordance with the "Methodology for the formation of environmental statistics indicators" approved by Order No. 223 of the Acting Chairman of the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 25, 2015. The responsible body for monitoring microbiological and chemical indicators in water is the Committee for quality control and safety of goods and services of the Ministry of health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Unit:
The percentage of drinking water samples that do not meet established quality standards, expressed as a percentage.
Goal:
This indicator allows you to determine the risk of negative impact of poor-quality water on human health, and also characterizes the degree of compliance of drinking water with national sanitary requirements and standards.
